"Harvested early (from September 20) from level sites around Loiben and Durnstein, this smells as much of fermentative elements-banana and yeasts-as it does of the variety. Very soft on the palate and slightly custardy in impression, it offers flavors of subtle tropical fruits, pistachio, cherry and peach. Despite its manifestly low alcohol, the wine offers plenty of refreshing juiciness and good length. A very cuddly and drinkable if not particularly typical gruner veltliner, and an excellent value." -David Schildknecht, IWC
