"Established early in the 17th century Convento dei Cappuccini has a long history of wine making. The Botto family has owned the vineyards surrounding the Original "Convento" for over 300 years. In the 1960's Pier Luigi Botto's Great Uncle bought the original "Convento" and the family has now placed the actual production in the property. As Pier Luigi says "The monks have made wine in Convento Cappuccini for hundreds of years". The estate covers an area of 62 acres, with 32 acres devoted to vineyards. The wines from the Botto family continue to be produced in a simple style, to truly emphasize the genuine relationship between the wine and quality of the grapes used. The easy drinking and highly regarded style of Pier Luigi Botto's wines has continued this small family estate's success, built over hundreds of years." -Importer
