1) Breganze Pinot Grigio 2007
Type: Friuli Venzia-giulia Igt
Size|750ML Vintage|2007 Library Code|39636 Email this"The remarkable diffusion of this grape variety in the area, especially in the plains with prevalent slate-containing soils, evidences its excellent adaptation in the climate. The winemaking techniques used tend to preserve the unmistakable aromatic scents. Strong yellow with cuprous tints, this wine is harmonic and velvet-like, pleasantly aromatic. With its classic lemongrass nose and citrus fruit flavors this Pinot Grigio accompanies lunch time salads with great style and goes equally well with fish dishes, risottos and pizzas." -Importer

Type: Spanish Albarino
Size|750ML Vintage|2006 Library Code|39624 Email this"Light straw in color, the nose of this Albarino is seductive with honey, pear and tropical fruit and a slight mineral component. It is racy and zesty with citrus and floral flavors in the mouth, yet is round and soft at the same time. It matches perfectly with fresh seafood and shellfish; is an ideal accompaniment to salty, spicy Asian cuisine; and is also great on its own as a cocktail wine. Truly adventurous food lovers will amaze and inspire their friends by serving it with the unlikely, but fantastic pairing of traditional barbequed ribs with a sweet, slightly spicy tomato based sauce." -Importer

It will evolve for 2-3 years but can be enjoyed now. All four of the La Posta wines are outstanding values."
12) Ben Marco Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
Type: Argentine Cabernet
Size|750ML Vintage|2005 Library Code|39616 Email this"The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon (which contains 10% Malbec) spent 10 months in 50% new French oak and 50% 1 year American oak. Deep crimson-colored, it has an attractive bouquet of cedar, coffee, cassis, and black currants. This leads to a medium-bodied, fruit-driven wine with light tannin, silky fruit, and good length. Drink this Bordeaux-styled Cabernet over the next 6 years. This wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered."
13) Terres Dorees Beaujolais Blanc 2007
Type: Beaujolais
Size|750ML Vintage|2007 Library Code|39615 Email this"The aim at Terres Dorees is to let the varied terroirs express themselves fully. In the early 1990s, Jean-Paul Brun planted 3 hectares of Chardonnay on limestone soil. He has since expanded the production of his well known and sought-after Beaujolais Blanc by contracting grapes from a small number of nearby vignerons. The clay-limestone soil that the Chardonnay grows on is perfect for the grape. The climate, which is a little warmer than the Cote d'Or enables Jean-Paul to produce a rich wine with lots of character. It is bottled completely unoaked. When young, the wine has a very fruity bouquet that becomes more honeyed as the wine matures." -Importer
14) Terres Dorees Beaujolais Village L'ancien Vieille Vigne 2007
Type: Beaujolais
Size|750ML Vintage|2007 Library Code|39614 Email this"This wine is produced from Jean-Paul's oldest vines, which have fewer, smaller grapes with a more concentrated flavor. He is able to harvest the grapes later because there is far less risk of rot, owing to the small bunches. The grapes are very ripe and have a high natural sugar level. The wine is vinified in traditional Burgundy methods. Ancien is a deeply colored wine with a bouquet of red fruit and very soft tannins. It can be drunk relatively young but is probably best at 2 to 3 years old. This is a wine well balanced with natural sugar and acidity." -Importer
15) Radikon Oslavje 2003
Type: Friuli Venzia-giulia Igt
Size| Vintage|2003 Library Code|39612 Email this"Stanko Radikon is a maverick in a land of mavericks. The town of Oslavia, on a relatively tiny stretch of hills north of the border town of Gorizia in the Isonzo zone of Friuli, is home to a number of talented and individualistic wine makers. From Radikon's home, you can carry a plate of freshly cooked polenta to Edi Kante and Jasko Gravner, two other world-renowned winemakers, and still eat it piping hot. Following a few memorable encounters with Radikon's wines, our friends at Louis/Dressner decided to add these distinctive wines to their portfolio. They are interesting, complex examples of what has come to be known, in reference to the ancestral origins of the winemaker's working in this style and their geographic proximity to the neighboring country, as the 'Slovenian' style of Friuli wines - namely hand-harvesting, extended skin maceration, large, older barrel fermentations without temperature control, no added yeasts or enzymes, and little or no use of sulfur. The vineyards were originally planted by Stanko's grandfather Franz Mikulus with the local favorite, the Ribolla Gialla grape. In 1948, Stanko's parents, who had inherited the property from his mother's father, planted Merlot, (Tocai) Friulano and Pinot Grigio. Today, Stanko, his wife, Suzana and son, Sasa maintain their family's land. 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Grigio, 30% Sauvignon Blanc." -Importer
16) Closel Savennieres La Jalousie 2006
Type: Savenniere
Size|750ML Vintage|2006 Library Code|39611 Email this"Savennieres la Jalousie (formerly les Coulees, or Cuvee Classique, i.e. dry) is a classic Savennieres from a stainless-steel cuvee of young and older vines from their steepest soils of pure schist." -Importer
17) Radikon Ribolla Gialla 2003
