Rolland raves over our 2006 La Reserve!

Wine Spectator rates the 2006 Faugeres 91 Points. Watch Michel Rolland in the video below remark he thinks the La Reserve is better!

Before being sold in 2005 to Silvio Denz, Chateau Faugeres was under ownership by the Pierre-Bernard family since 1823. The vineyards cover almost 200 acres and in 1999 the area was included as one of UNESCO's World Heritage sites. The estates consulting enologist is Michel Rolland and Stephan Von Neipperg, both major players in the wine world. For the regular cuvee, grapes are 100% picked by hand and harvest lasts about two weeks. Following harvest grapes are strictly selected by a team of 20 who go grape by grape to make ensure quality. The estate is located six kilometers east of Saint-Emilion.

For 2006, the Wine Spectator rated the regular cuvee of Chateau Faugeres 91 Points. Below, we have the special "La Reserve" edition of the 2006 Chateau Faugeres. Our very own Gary Vaynerchuk worked on this blend along with Michel Rolland and you can see both of them tasting the wine in the video below. Watch the reaction of Rolland after he samples the regular Faugeres next to the La Reserve. Rolland raved that he liked the La Reserve more than the 91 Pt WS rated regular!!
